United Methodist Women (UMW)

The Purpose of United Methodist Women (UMW) United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Here are just a few of the various Mission Organizations in which LeValley United Methodist Women (UMW) particpate:

  • Zion Food Pantry (Zion United Methodist Church, Washington Street Ionia, Michigan)
  • Rave (Relief After Violent Encounter) Servicing Ionia and Montcalm Counties
  • Christian Service Center (Ionia, MIchigan)
  • UMCOR (United Methodist Committe On Relief)
  • Clark Retirement Home benevolent fund (United Methodist Retirement Home)
  • Methodist Community House, (Grand Rapids, Michigan)
  • Church World Service (CWS) Kit Program
